A coastal town between mountain and sea.

Dumalinao sits along the National Highway in Zamboanga del Sur, fronted by Pagadian Bay and backed by gently rolling uplands. It is an agriculture-and-fishery town — rice, copra, banana, and daily catch — with a small, walkable poblacion and 27 barangays connected by jeepney and tricycle routes.

By Air
Nearest gateway: Pagadian Airport (PAG). About 30–40 minutes by van or jeepney to Dumalinao town proper.
By Land
Public buses from Pagadian City, Cotabato, and Zamboanga City stop along the National Highway through Dumalinao.
By Sea
Pagadian Port handles RoRo and passenger ferries from Cebu, Manila, and Cotabato. From the port, take a van or bus west.
Best Months
Drier months are typically December–May. Coastal mornings are pleasant year-round.
Respectful Travel
Zamboanga del Sur is religiously diverse. Dress modestly when visiting chapels, mosques, and barangay halls.
